Friday was Fright Day at HPS Group as we did Halloween in style with awards for the best dressed, a pumpkin-carving competition, and more terrifying treats than you can shake a broom at.
For the kids, we decked out the café area with face painters, flashing lights and a largely-ignored platter of healthy sandwiches.
Our design and digital teams took a rather – creative – approach to decorating the studio. Their ‘Charlie and the Horror Factory’ theme, a disturbing twist on the classic Roald Dahl tale, incorporated a wall of chocolate, vomit-green popcorn and a Nutella-filled toilet (brand new, of course).
The space was enhanced by some serious dedication to Wonka-themed fancy dress, with many HPS’ers going all out to mimic characters from the family favourite film. We had a perfectly purple Violet Beauregarde, a freakishly tall Oompa Loompa, and Mr. Wonka himself, along with a surplus of grandparents – which was just an excuse to rock up to work in pyjamas, we think.
